Viktor Stepanovych Yantso is a Ukrainian composer, musician, and singer. He is the author of the Mukachevo anthem and the leader of the rock band Rock-H.
He was born in Mukachevo in 1978. He graduated from Mukachevo School No. 20 and Mukachevo Choir School. In 1995-1998, he studied at the Uzhhorod Music College named after D. Zador at the piano department and took an optional composition class with V. Telychko, in 1998-2000 - at the Lviv Conservatory at the Faculty of Composition (class of professor Myroslav Skoryk), in 2000-2004 - at the Faculty of Composition of the National Music Academy (class of professor Yevhen Stankovych). In 2004-2006, he was an assistant at the National Music Academy (under the guidance of Yevhen Stankovych).

1998 - recital (Uzhhorod, Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic).
1999 - performance of a suite for string orchestra at the International Festival of Contemporary Music "Contrasts" (Lviv).
2002 - a recital with the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by V. Sirenko (Kyiv, Ukrainian House).
2003 - a recital with the participation of the male sextet "Ad Libitum" (Mukachevo).
2003 - performance of Symphony No. 2 with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, conducted by V. Sirenko. Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.
2004 - performance of the Chamber Symphony No. 2 for mixed choir at the International Festival "Kyiv Music Fest" (National Philharmonic of Ukraine, Kyiv).
2005, 2010 - performance of Symphony No. 3 for large symphony orchestra at the International Festival "Kyiv Music Fest" (National Philharmonic of Ukraine, Kyiv)
2011 - performance of Symphony No. 2 "Flood" (Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic, Uzhhorod).
Rock-H band
In 2008, he became one of the founders of the Rock-H band. He is the author of all the songs included in the official albums of the group, except for the songs "Vivtsi", "Karta" and "Chorna Hora Neorana", which are folk songs and were included in the albums arranged by Viktor Yants.
In 2014, he performed as a vocalist for the first time in the album "White Melon", recording several songs on the album. Viktor's first public performance as a vocalist took place on 22 April 2014 at the Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv National Opera and Ballet Theatre during a concert by Olesya Kyrychuk.
In 2016, the Rock-H band released the album "Love Songs", in which Viktor performed as a music author and recorded all the piano and vocal parts.
Other projects
In 2015, he initiated and, together with the M-Studio TV company and the Uzhik creative association, implemented the TV project Zahudeme viedno in Rock-H Orchestra, which involved almost 50 musical groups and performers from Transcarpathia.
In 2016, he created the band "Antsya", for which he composes music and is its artistic director.
Awards and honours
Viktor Yants had his first performance as a solo artist at the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Winner of the Transcarpathian Regional D. Zador Prize (2005) for his Symphony No. 2.
In 2013, according to the weekly "Nedilya", he was named one of the hundred most influential people in Transcarpathia.
On 20 April 2017, he became one of the first winners of the Mukachevo City Oleksandr Dukhnovych Prize in the Music and Performing Arts nomination (as the author of the album "Songs about Love").
