Topolya Taras Volodymyrovych

Lead singer of the popular Ukrainian band Antytila, spokesperson for the Youth Council under the President of Ukraine, former UNICEF Youth Ambassador to Ukraine, co-founder of the Free UA charity foundation, Antytila charity foundation, volunteer, volunteer of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Biography.

Born and raised in Kyiv. At the age of 6, he started playing music, including violin, and sang in the choir at the Revutsky Men's Choir. He studied at the capital's gymnasium No. 48 on Prorizna Street and at the school of I-III degrees No. 8. In high school, he formed a band, which was later reformatted and named Antytila.

He studied at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 2007, he received his law degree. While studying at the academy, he and Antytila took part in the TV project Chance. The band did not win, but Kuzma Scriabin said: "If we let these guys on stage, many will retire."

In 2008, the band began working with the Catapult Music production center. In 2010, they decided to leave the production center. Since then, the band has been managed by Antytila's keyboardist Serhiy Vusyk and Taras Topolya.
Participation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In February 2022, during the first days of the Russian invasion of the Kyiv region, Taras volunteered to join the TRO of the 130th Battalion.

In March 2022, Taras became the founder of the Antytila Charitable Foundation, which was dedicated to helping civilian and military units during the war.

In 2017, the Antytila band played a large-scale tour called "The Sun". The tour covered about 50 cities in Ukraine, one in Belarus, seven cities in America, and one in Canada. In Ukraine, these were not only regional centers, but also many district centers. After playing the Sunshine tour, Antytila entered the National Register of Records of Ukraine, setting an achievement in the category "The largest number of cities where concerts of a musical group took place within one tour." In one hundred and one days, the band presented the album in four countries: Ukraine, Belarus, the United States, and Canada. The performers gave 46 concerts, 26 of which took place in March.

At a concert in memory of Scriabin, they covered his hit song "People Like Ships". Taras and his band recorded a studio version of the song with Scriabin's backing vocalist Olha (Shprot) Lizgunova.

He has released the albums Buduvudu, Vybiruy, Nad Polezamy, Vse Krasno, Sun, Hello, MLNL.

Social activities

In 2014, together with his friends, he started volunteering and founded the Free UA charity foundation. Thanks to the foundation, he managed to raise more than UAH 8 million. The funds were used to purchase medicines and protective equipment for the Ukrainian military, as well as to help the population.

As a UNICEF Youth Ambassador in Ukraine, he held more than 100 meetings with active youth across the country. Initiated and, together with volunteers, implemented a large-scale exhibition "Ukraine Exist" at the UN Headquarters in New York. The activity continues.

After the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops on February 24, 2022, Taras Topolya, along with other members of the Antytila band, joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Marital status.

In 2013, he married singer Olena Topolya, better known as Alyosha. Together they have three children: sons Mark and Roman, daughter Maria.
