
Ivan Stetsky is a Ukrainian conductor who works in the field of symphonic and operatic art. He is currently the conductor of the National Academic Wind Orchestra of Ukraine. He made his debut in the musical performance “How the Cossacks Tamed the Snake” by Igor Poklad. Previously, he worked as a conductor in the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra. An important direction of Ivan Stetsky’s creative activity is the popularization of Ukrainian music. In collaboration with the independent art formation Art.Razom, he implemented a number of artistic projects, including: — production of the opera “Odherzyma” by Myroslav Volynsky (conductor; orchestra of the Opera Studio of the National Academy of Music); — production of the opera trilogy “KAVKA” by Viktoria Shynkarenko (conductor-director; National Chamber Ensemble “Kyiv Soloists”). He also staged the opera “Nocturne” by Mykola Lysenko at the Opera Studio of the National Academy of Music of Ukraine. As a guest conductor, he worked on the final concert "Gala Classic" of KharkivMusicFest 2023 with the participation of Tamara Kalinkina, Vitaly Bily, the "Vostok Opera" orchestra, and musicians of the KharkivMusicFest ensemble (chief conductor - Vitaly Alekseionok).
