Ivan Krasovskyi (Todoriuk Ivan Ivanovych; born 15 February 1968, Ridkivtsi village, Novoselytsia district, Chernivtsi region) is a singer, baritone tenor, soloist of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2002). Laureate of the International Festival "Veselka" in Hungary (1993), All-Ukrainian Competition "Destiny" (1994) in Chernivtsi, All-Ukrainian "Song Vernissage" (2002), winner of the Grand Prix of the Festival of Modern Romance "Autumn Rendezvous" in Myrhorod (2003).
Biography.
Ivan Todoriuk was born in Bukovyna, a land that gave birth to many composers, musicians, and singers. Only in the Novoselytsia district were born: composer Stepan Sabadash; singers Sofia and Aurika Rotaru, Lilia Sandulesa; musicians Heorhiy Agratina, Dmytro Popychuk and Fedir Kaptar.
Ivanko Todoriuk was born into a peasant family: his mother, Domka Vasylivna, who worked as a postman, and his father, Ivan Dmytrovych, told him about his singing grandfather Vasyl. So his talent for singing was noticed by his fellow villagers at school. At the age of 12, he was already singing in the village choir and was proud to stand next to the head of their collective farm.
He studied at the Chernivtsi Music College, where he was lucky enough to learn to sing from a wonderful professional teacher, Adelina Poga. After the second year of his studies, Ivan Todoriuk was drafted into the army and served for three years in Sevastopol in the Khvylya (Wave) ensemble. It was here that he acquired concert performance skills.
After his service in the Navy, he worked in many bands and toured extensively. During his concert tours, while communicating with famous artists, the singer gained experience and skills. After many years of fruitful work in well-known musical groups, Ivan Krasovsky chose the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Since 2018, he has been living in the United States in Los Angeles, where he has opened his own recording studio and vocal school, LaVox.
