Yurii Znatokov (February 6, 1926-1998) was a Ukrainian composer. Honored Artist of Ukraine.
He was born on February 6, 1926 in Batumi. He died on October 11, 1998 in Odesa. He graduated from the Odesa Conservatory (1951, class of A. Kogan). Participated in the German-Soviet War. He was the director of the music school (1951, 1953-1962).
Author of music for films and TV movies (Komesk, The Last Strand, etc.). He was awarded the Order of the Red Star, the Badge of Honor, and medals. He was a member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine.
In 1962-1998, he lived in a house at 7 Hohol Street, where a memorial plaque is installed on the facade.
