Zinkovsky Vladimir Alexandrovich

Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zinkovskyi (born 26 March 1949, Zaporizhzhia) is a Ukrainian flutist, pianist, guitarist, double bassist, and ensemble leader.

Biography.
He graduated from the Zaporizhzhia Music College (1973) and the Vladivostok Institute of Arts (1979) with a degree in flute.

In 1964-1967, he played guitar in dance ensembles and orchestras in Zaporizhzhia.

Since 1968, he has performed with the quartet of the Zaporizhzhia Jazz Club "Synkopa", where he played double bass, guitar and flute. He participated in the Yunist-68 (Dnipro) and Donetsk-102 (1971) festivals.

Later he led ensembles that performed at the Jazz on the Dnipro-87 (Dnipro) and Jazz Horizons (Kryvyi Rih, 1988) festivals.

Since 1992, he has lived in the United States, and in 199-1998 he worked in Phoenix, Arizona, and Anchorage, Alaska. While working in the USA, he recorded two solo CDs and played in various ensembles, from trios to big bands. He toured Japan and performed several times in Okinawa (1995, 1996, 1998). Now he lives in Kyiv.

He initiated the creation of the band "Yalta Jam".
