Zhukov Oleksandr Petrovych (28.05.1957) - Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2009). Director of the orchestra of the Honoured Academic Bukovyna Song and Dance Ensemble of the Chernivtsi Regional Philharmonic.
He was born on 28 May 1957 in Kharkiv. Graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Arts (1985).
Since 1987, he has been working in Chernivtsi: accordionist of the Honoured Academic Bukovyna Song and Dance Ensemble of the Regional Philharmonic, and later - the head of the orchestra.
In 1967, by the Decree of the President of Ukraine, he was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Ukraine.
Concert activity
Together with the orchestra, he performed more than 2,000 concerts.
For 10 years, he performed at cultural events dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine in Kyiv.
In 1999, 2001, 2004, he participated in the creative reports of masters of arts and artistic groups of Chernivtsi region on the stage of the National Palace "Ukraine" in Kyiv.
International activity
Participant in presentations of Ukrainian art in the CIS countries, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Austria.
In 1997, he performed in the cultural and artistic programme on the occasion of the signing of the agreement between the regions: Bukovyna (Ukraine) - Botosani (Romania) - Swabia (Germany).
