Zhdanov Alexander V.

Oleksandr Vasyliovych Zhdanov (born 26 March 1919, Kharkiv - d. ?) was a Ukrainian Soviet military conductor.
He was born on 26 March 1919 in the city of Kharkiv (now Ukraine). He joined the Red Army on 25 July 1939[1]. In 1946 he graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire (class of Yuri Timofeev).

In 1949-1950 he worked as a conductor, in 1950-1956 he led the orchestra of the headquarters of the Carpathian Military District in Lviv; in 1956-1960 he led the orchestra of the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports in Leningrad; in 1960-1963 he led the military orchestra service of the Northern Group of Troops in Poland; In 1963-1972, he was the head of the military orchestra service and the artistic director of the orchestra of the Odesa Military District; in 1972-1974, he worked as a conductor at the Odesa Association of Musical Ensembles; in 1974-1991, he was the artistic director and conductor of the Association of Musical Ensembles of the Odesa Ritual Company "Svyato".
