Zalizny Valery Oleksiyovych

1951

Ukrainian writer, public figure, amateur artist, singer, amateur composer. Member of the National Union of Journalists (2008), Ternopil Regional Literary and Educational Society named after Bohdan Lepkyi, Council of the Ternopil Regional Association "World of Culture"; full member of the Academy of Acmeological Sciences (2001, St. Petersburg, Russia). Colonel of the Ukrainian Cossacks.

Awards.

Full Cavalier of the Cossack award "Knight's Distinction" (2001, 2003, 2004).
Cossack Order of the 3rd degree (2008).
Bohdan and Levko Lepkyi Brothers Award (2001).

Biography.

Graduated from the conducting and choral department of the Nizhyn Higher School of Culture and Arts.

He worked in the Ichnia Department of Culture, Chernihiv Philharmonic, and cultural and educational institutions of Sumy region.

Since 1980, he has been an artist at the Ternopil Art and Production Complex.

A collection of local lore "Mazepynets from Baturyn" (2006).

He designed several books by Ternopil authors.

He is the author of the project of the memorial cross to the victims of the Moscow tsarism in Baturyn, Chernihiv region (2008, installed in Ternopil), the initiator and organizer of the installation of a memorial stele to Bohdan Lepko in Baturyn (1999).
