Yuriy Mykolayovych Kirichenko

Kyrychenko Yurii Mykolaiovych (21. 02. 1963, Artemivsk, Donetsk region) - violinist, teacher. Associate Professor (2003).

People's Artist of Ukraine (2011). Laureate of the 3rd Republican Competition of Chamber Music Groups and Performers (Khmelnytskyi, 1990). Graduated from the Donetsk. Donetsk Musical and Pedagogical Institute (1986; teacher - S. Yevdokymov).

He was an artistic member of the Philharmonic Orchestra (1982-85, at the same time a soloist of the concert ensemble "Impromptu" under the direction of D. Sheinin) and the Opera and Ballet Theatre (1985-88; both - Donetsk).

Since 1988, he has been a concertmaster of the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and since 2002 - at the Music Institute at the Pedagogical University (both in Luhansk): since 2006 - Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of Music and Performance. He has toured Austria, Italy, and Japan. His repertoire includes works by M. Skoryk, P. Tchaikovsky, J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, A. Vivaldi, N. Paganini, E. Chosson. He has recorded 3 CDs (2005, 2010, 2012).
