Yasniuk Igor Mykolayovych

Ihor Mykolaiovych Yasniuk (born 6 September 1962, Romanove Selo, now Ternopil district, Ternopil region) is a Ukrainian singer, composer, arranger. Co-founder and artistic director of the band Svitozary, a laureate and winner of national and international competitions.
Biography.
Ihor's grandfather was an amateur musician, he played the violin.

He graduated from high school. He graduated from the Solomiya Krushelnytska Ternopil Music College in 1986. Two months after starting his studies, he was mobilised into the army, where he served for two years in the Air Force in Leningrad. In 1987, he entered the Odesa Conservatoire as a full-time student, then transferred to the Lviv Conservatoire (now the Mykola Lysenko Music Academy), graduating in 1992.

He worked in Pidhaitsi (artistic director of the choral chapel and the band "Svitozary", both at the city House of Culture). Since 1986, he has been working in Ternopil (artistic director of the I. Kobylianskyi Folk Choir at the "Textile" Cultural Centre (1986-95), since 2002 - artistic director of the "Svitozary" All-American Choir at the "Berezil" Cultural Centre (Ternopil). He is the author of music for songs based on his own words, as well as those of other Ukrainian poets. He released a solo album "Stork's Fate" (2005), an instrumental album based on the melodies of Ihor Bilozor's songs; a disc "Stranger", in co-authorship (2006, all - T.). He was awarded the Honour of the Ternopil City Council in 2013. Trustee of the candidate for people's deputies, singer and musician Mykhailo Matsievskyi (2014).

Wife Svitlana (married before entering the Odesa Conservatory), son Taras.
