Yaroshevska Lyudmyla

Liudmyla Anatoliyivna Yaroshevska (14 September 1906, Kyiv - 1975, Lviv) was a Ukrainian composer, concertmaster, and teacher.

Biography
Liudmyla Yaroshevska was born in Kyiv. She graduated from the Mykola Lysenko Kyiv Music and Drama Institute (1930).

She taught at music schools and worked as a concertmaster in theatres, and since 1949 at the Lviv Music School.

opera The Girl and Death (after Maxim Gorky),
ballet The Merchant of Venice (based on William Shakespeare),
musical comedy "Lawyer Patlen",
two overtures for symphony orchestra,
a concerto for violin and orchestra,
a cello concerto with orchestra,
for piano - suite, preludes, "Fantasy on Hutsul Themes" and others.
