Yaroslav Yevstakhovych Yarosh (*3 August 1950, Korolivka (Kolomyia district) - 31 May 2019, Ivano-Frankivsk) was a Ukrainian poet, writer, composer and screenwriter. He has been a member of the Writers' Union of Ukraine since 1979. Deputy Head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Organisation of the Union of Writers of Ukraine, Head of the Board of the Club of Creative Intelligentsia of Prykarpattia.
He was born on 3 August 1950 in the village of Korolivka, Kolomyia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He lived and worked in Ivano-Frankivsk. He was a correspondent for the magazine "Ukraine" (Kyiv) in Prykarpattia.
A graduate of Kolomyia schools - eight-year school No. 3 and secondary school No. 2.
He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (1973).
He worked in the editorial offices of the Tlumach and Horodenka district and Ivano-Frankivsk regional youth newspapers. He participated in the VI All-Union Meeting of Young Writers in Moscow, the All-Union Festival of Young Poets in Poltava, and several seminars on drama in Pitsunda (Abkhazia), Kyiv, Sevastopol, and Irpin.
He died on 31 May 2019.

Screenwriter
He was the first in Ukraine (in January 1989) to bring the ritual New Year's dress "Melanka" to the stages of Ivano-Frankivsk, Kolomyia, and villages of the region. Along with newspapers, he started publishing brochures with artistic and journalistic supplements in the Carpathian journalism. He is the author of scripts and director of stage compositions "Between Thorns and 5 Flowers" (1990), "Eagles. Carpathian Avengers. Opryshky", "Arrest. Repression. Executions" (1995), "On the Wings of Lesia's Songs" (1996), and others.
Poems and music
As a composer, he created more than 20 songs based on his own and other poets' poems (collection "Taistra", 1993). Composers have written more than 30 songs based on Yaroslav Yarosh's poetry.
As an editor, he published the collection "Nadsyannia" (1992) and an anthology of Ukrainian-Polish poetry by ten authors "On a Desolate Field - Oscre kamienie (Sharp Stones)" (1993).

Some of Yaroslav Yarosh's poems have been translated into Belarusian, Abkhazian, Bashkir, Moldavian, Uzbek, Romanian, and Polish.
Yarosh's translations are included in the Ukrainian collections of Vasyl Fedorov, Lyudmyla Tatyanycheva, Andriy Voznesensky, Serhiy Vikulov, Genadz Buravkin, Liviu Damian, Sahingali Seitov, Seraphim Popov, etc.
