Ukrainian pop singer (tenor), composer, singer-songwriter, Honored Artist of Ukraine (2004), People's Artist of Ukraine (2017). Brother of singer, People's Artist of Ukraine Dmytro Yaremchuk and singer Maria Yaremchuk.
Biography and creative activity
He was born on March 23, 1977 in the village of Pylypets, Mizhhirya district, Transcarpathian region, in a family of musicians. His father is Nazariy Yaremchuk, People's Artist of Ukraine, and his mother is Olena Shevchenko, soloist of the Smerichka Vocal Group.
In 1996, he graduated from the Sidor Vorobkevych Music College in Chernivtsi (since 1997, the Sidor Vorobkevych Chernivtsi College of Arts), majoring in music theory.
In 2001, he graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, majoring in composition with composer Ivan Karabyts.
In 2004, he completed postgraduate studies at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine with composer Myroslav Skoryk.
1996, 1997, 1999 - laureate of the X, XI, XIII All-Ukrainian festivals-competitions of modern pop song "Song Vernissage".
1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 - awarded with diplomas of the Laureate of the TV and radio project "Shlyager of the Year".
In 2002, Nazariy and his brother Dmytro became the founders of the Nazariy Yaremchuk Family Song Festival, dedicated to the memory and work of their father Nazariy Yaremchuk. Dmytro and Nazariy traditionally organize the festival at the Ukraine Palace of Arts.
In 2004, Nazariy was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of Ukraine by President Kuchma.
Nazariy Yaremchuk is the author of songs based on poems by poets: Olha Tkach, Viktor Herasymenko, Volodymyr Matvienko, Yevhen Rybchynskyi, Anatolii Matviichuk, Dmytro Yaremchuk, and his own lyrics. He mostly performs his songs in a duet with his brother and sings them separately.
In 2013, together with Dmytro Yaremchuk, he was awarded a diploma of participation in the All-Ukrainian program "National Leaders of Ukraine".
In 2017, he was awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of Ukraine.
Since mid-1996, Nazariy Yaremchuk (junior) and his brother Dmytro Yaremchuk have been active as pop singers on tour.
Dmytro and Nazariy perform their own and well-known Ukrainian pop songs: "You Are My Ukraine," "Vyshyvanka," "Family," "Our Destiny," "Let There Be Happiness and Love," "Mama," "Chervona Ruta," "I Will Give the World," "I Love You So Much, Ukraine," "Stozhary," "Hai, Zelenyi Hai," "Cheremshyna," "Song about a Towel," "My Ukraine-Family," "All the Words," "Hear My Mom," and others. Dmytro and Nazariy Yaremchuk have traveled all over Ukraine with their concerts and also perform abroad.
