Mykola Oleksandrovych Yanchenko (born 1959, Kanava village, Vinnytsia region) is a Ukrainian pop singer and composer, People's Artist of Ukraine (2016), Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2007).
Biography.
Mykola Oleksandrovych Yanchenko was born in 1959 in Kanava village, Tyvriv district, Vinnytsia region, into a peasant family. He received his primary and secondary education in the educational institutions of Kanava, Koliukhiv, and Sutysok. After graduating from the Tulchyn Cultural and Educational College, he became a director of a drama group. For more than 20 years he worked as an artistic director of the House of Culture in the village of Moyivka, Chernivtsi district, Vinnytsia region. He is a curator of creative youth and an inspirer of various art projects and musical groups, including the vocal duo "Kokhana, kohaniy". Member of the Vinnytsia Regional Council of several convocations. Member of the Regional Council's Standing Committee on Culture, Spiritual and Historical Heritage.

He is a supporter of the preservation of small settlements in Ukraine. Since 2008, he has been the founder and leading organiser of the annual ethno-song festival "Mamina's Oven" in Kanava on the village feast of the Prophet Elijah (2 August), which traditionally attracts thousands of spectators and a powerful creative team - from the performer of the classical Ukrainian song repertoire, People's Artist of Ukraine Mykola Svydiuk, to the rock vocalist Oleksandr Onofriychuk with the band "Strong Time".

He lives in Vinnytsia.

Creative activity
He began his active songwriting and composing career in 1993. His first collection of songs is "My Wedding". He has written over 100 songs in total, among which the most popular are "Pour, Kuma", "God willing", and "Perelaz". Many audio albums were released thanks to cooperation with the Vinnytsia-based company Med (headed by V. I. Marynchuk), which promotes "green tourism" in the Vinnytsia region.

The main theme of his musical works is love for his native land, promotion of ethnic identity, the sources of Ukrainianness, and eternal human values - kindness, faith, love, and respect for parents.
