Ihor Petrovych Yakubovsky is a Ukrainian composer, musician and performer.
Ihor Petrovych Yakubovsky is a Ukrainian composer, musician and performer who works in the genre of original song and sung poetry.

He was born on 15 April 1962 in the family of Ukrainian exiles in Kopeysk-Chelyabinsk region (Ural, Russia).

A year later, the family returned to their native place - the village of Soroky, Buchach district, Ternopil region. He graduated from the Terebovlia Higher School of Culture (1981) and the Kyiv State Institute of Culture (1985).

He worked and still works in cultural and educational institutions of Kyiv.

Creativity.
He wrote a number of songs based on the poetry of Taras Shevchenko, Bohdan Lepkyi, Oleksandr Oles, Mykola Lukash, Volodymyr Sosiura, Vasyl Symonenko, Mykola Rudakov, Anatolii Taran, Mykola Udovychenko, Ivan Hnatiuk, Leonid Fedoruk, Iryna Zhylenko, Mariia Vlad, Lina Kostenko.

In his work, the artist talentedly combines folklore traditions with modernity. He performs as a vocal and instrumental duo "Space of Music" with composer and performer Serhiy Moroz.

Iakubovskyi's songs are performed by: Dmytro Hnatiuk, Alla Kudlay, Femiy Mustafayev, ensembles - "Kobza", "Darnychanka", "Hetman" and others.

Permanent member of the jury of the All-Ukrainian Festival of Arts "The Future of Ukraine is in Children!", International Festival of Culture "Grebinchyni Vechornytsi".
