Vovk Julian Yaroslavovych

1944-1996

He is an accordionist and composer. Honored Worker of Culture of the Ukrainian SSR (1983), Honored Artist of Ukraine (1993).
Biography.

He lost his sight from a grenade explosion at the age of 9.

At the Lviv Training and Production Association of the Ukrainian Society for the Blind, he founded and directed the men's instrumental quartet "Four Nicholas" (1962) and the folk women's vocal ensemble "Strumochok" (1963-96).

1973 - graduated from the Lviv Conservatory (class of M. Korchynskyi).
1976-96 - artistic director of the folk amateur bandura chapel "Karpaty". He toured the cities of Ukraine, the Baltic States, Belarus, Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
