Volunteer Volodymyr Ilyich

Volontyr Volodymyr Ilyich (b. July 8, 1956, Kuzmyno village, Mukachevo district) is a choral conductor, composer, member of the NSCU (1996), Honored Artist of Ukraine (1999).
In 1975 he graduated from Uzhhorod Music College, in 1980 from the conducting and choral faculty of the Kyiv Conservatory, class of Prof. M. Berdennikov. In 1984-1987, he studied at the composition faculty of the Lviv Conservatory with D. Zador.

In 1983, he became the organizer and artistic director of the Mukachevo Choir of Boys and Young Men (laureate of European competitions of youth choirs in Belgium; 1996, 1998), and since 1989 he has been the founder and conductor of the Mukachevo Choir School for Boys and Young Men.
