Biography
Family.

Vasyl Mykolaiovych Voloshchuk was born on May 19, 1969 in Svarychiv village, Rozhniativ district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the working-class family of a professional driver Mykola Voloshchuk and a zootechnician Stefania Voloshchuk, who already had an older son, Roman. The Voloshchuks' eldest son Roman Mykolaiovych is also a professional musician (accordionist, choral conductor, tenor); he graduated from the Kyiv State Conservatory and worked as a conductor of the National Bandura Choir for nine years.
Education.

First, he finished 8th grade at Svarychiv Secondary School (1976-1984).

At the same time, he studied at the Rozhnyativ Music School, majoring in violin (1978-1984).

He successfully graduated from the Drohobych State Music College, majoring in violin (1984-1988).

He received his higher education at the Kyiv Conservatory (violin class of Semen Kobets and Vadym Kozin) (1988-1994).

Professional and creative activity

He worked at the Kyiv Association of Musical Ensembles (KOMA) in the pop-symphony orchestra under the direction of Viktor Zdorenko (1989-1992).

Together with his classmates, in 1989 he created a folk band, later called "Carpathian Bells", where he worked as a soloist-vocalist and instrumentalist (1992-1987). Since 1993, he has toured extensively with the band in Ukraine and abroad. He worked with concerts in France, England, Germany, Poland, and Russia. In 1994, he made a thirty-minute music film of the band "Carpathian Bells", which was broadcast on central and regional TV channels.

Since 1998, he has been the leader of the folk band "Vykhylas" and a soloist-vocalist of the Exemplary Orchestra of the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine, the Center for Musical Art of the Ministry of Emergencies and Protection of the Population from the Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster, and the Orchestra of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. A bright page in the artist's work was the creation of a vocal duet with pop singer Oksana Radul (Barniachenko), who is also a soloist of the Orchestra of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

He collaborates with many Ukrainian poets: Zoya Kucheryava, Volodymyr Matvienko, Fedir Tyshko, Natalia Zemna, Volodymyr Melnykov, and composer Yevhen Pukhlyanko. And most of all - with the famous poet-songwriter Mykola Syngaivskyi. In collaboration with him, they wrote more than a dozen songs, including: "Cheremkhovyi Hai", "The Carpathians Look Through the Windows", "Mother Ukraine Will Call", "Song about Silence", "Day Dawns on a Meadow", "And Our River is Limnytsia", which were performed at festivals: "Song of the Year", "Revived Springs", "Song Vernissage", "Fate", "Boromlya-96". At the latter, Vasyl Voloshchuk won the first prize in the author-performer nomination. In 1998, the composer and singer Vasyl Voloshchuk released the audio album "Cheremkhovyi Hai" based on the poems by Natalia Zemna and Mykola Syngaivskyi.
