Voevodin Vyacheslav V.

1938-2009

Viacheslav Vasyliovych Voevodin (b. 13 November 1938, Debaltseve - d. 1 August 2009, Donetsk) - Ukrainian accordionist, conductor, teacher, corresponding member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2001), People's Artist of Ukraine (2001).
Biography
1961 - graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory (class of M. Helis).

1961-1971 - lecturer at the Lviv Conservatory.

Since 1971 - a lecturer at the Donetsk Music and Pedagogical Institute, since 1991 - a professor at the Donetsk Prokofiev Conservatory, since 1997 - rector of the university, head of the Department of Orchestral Conducting, director of the Orchestra of Folk Instruments.

2000 - he was the founder and artistic director of the Solovyinyi Yarmarok competition for young performers named after Anatolii Solovianenko.

2000 - founded the Voyevodin Dynasty Competition for Young Performers at the Luhansk College of Culture and Arts.

2004 - released the CD "Vyacheslav Voevodin Conducts".

1999-2005 - editor-in-chief of the collection of scientific articles "Musical Art" (in 5 issues, Donetsk).

Author of instrumentation and arrangements for the orchestra of folk instruments. With this orchestra, he prepared 26 concert programmes (12 CDs, 16 recordings for the radio fund).
