Vodovozova Maria

2000

Maria Vodovozova was born in 2000 into a family of musicians. She has been playing music since the age of 4. At the age of six, she started taking jazz trumpet lessons, and at the age of 7 she became a member of Viktor Basyuk's jazz band.

At the age of 12, she entered the Mykola Lysenko Specialised Music Boarding School in Kyiv, where she studied with Hryhoriy Kozdoba. She continued her studies at the oldest specialised school for young musicians in the UK, The Purcell School, under the direction of Tony Cross. Maria Vodovozova is currently studying at the Western University of Timisoara (Romania), Faculty of Music and Theatre, class of Serhii Kyrstia.

The musician was a participant in the Purcell School's Impulse outreach programme, which helped students organise concerts and masterclasses. During her studies, Maria Vodovozova actively performed in concert halls in the UK, including St James's Places - Royal Academy of Arts (London), Watford Colosseum, Cadogan Hall, St Alban Hall and many others.

Maria has taken part in masterclasses with such musicians as Tamira Akta, Tomasz Hluszka, Charlie Green, Roman Green, Dominic Grier, Sergei Kyrstia, Damian Kurek, Rex Richardson, Ronaldo Romm, Alan Thompson, and Andrea Toffanelli.
