Vlasov Viktor Petrovich

1936

Soviet and Ukrainian accordionist, composer, teacher. Professor (1993). Honored Artist of Ukraine (1996).

Biography.

In 1955, he graduated from the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Music School (class of A. Savinkov, accordion).

Graduated from the Lviv Conservatory (1963, class of M. Oberiukhtin, accordion).

In 1955-1963 - soloist of the Odesa Regional Philharmonic.

In 1963-1965 he was a teacher of the accordion class at the Odesa Cultural and Educational School.

Since 1965 he has been a teacher (since 1972 - senior) of the accordion class, in 1981 - associate professor, since 1993 - professor (in 1974-1982 - head of the department of folk instruments) of the Odesa Music Academy. Author of scientific and methodological works, textbooks.

Over the years, he has trained more than 100 specialists, many of whom have won national and international competitions and received honorary titles: I. Sebov, V. Moskaliuk, V. Lazic (Yugoslavia), A. Serkov, A. Barsan, I. Komlev, S. Brykailo.

Author of operas, more than 200 musical works for accordion ("Five Views of the Gulag Country", 1991), orchestra of folk instruments ("The Road to Babyn Yar", 1996), chamber orchestral opuses; music for feature films and documentaries, theater performances, songs and romances based on poems by Taras Shevchenko, V. Stus, V. Symonenko, and L. Kostenko.

Laureate of the Republican Competition for the best piece for folk instruments (Kyiv, 1977).

Member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine (1991), National Union of Composers of Ukraine (1992).
