Allin Hryhorovych Vlasenko (30 June 1938, Chelyabinsk - 23 November 2021) was a Ukrainian conductor, Honoured Artist of the Ukrainian SSR, People's Artist of Ukraine (2000), Professor of the Petro Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.
He was born into the family of a military officer. Since his parents and relatives had wonderful voices, he absorbed the melody, harmony and soul of Ukrainian songs from an early age.
School.
In Kharkiv (his father's place of service), he studied at a music school (piano class) and was a soloist in a children's choir. His acquaintance with the then rector of the Kharkiv Conservatory, Volodymyr Komarenko, influenced his final choice of the musician's profession. Allin Vlasenko began studying with the teacher G. Rykov (clarinet class) at the orchestral department of the special music school for ten years at the conservatory.
Conservatory, postgraduate studies
In 1958, he entered the Kharkiv Conservatoire to study at the orchestral faculty. In his third year of study, he became the leader of the clarinet group of the Kharkiv Opera House Symphony Orchestra. He mastered the art of conducting under the guidance of Associate Professor Alisa Vidulina (a student of the outstanding conductor, People's Artist of Ukraine Valery Klimov).
In 1961, he graduated from the Orchestral Faculty of the Kharkiv Conservatory, majoring in clarinet.
In 1966, he entered the postgraduate study of opera and symphony conducting in the class of Mykhailo Kanerstein (Kyiv).
Since 1966, he has been conducting the State Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. Alin Hryhorovych's colleagues, advisers and senior comrades during this period of his life were Veniamin Tolba, Nathan Rakhlin, Konstantin Simeonov, and Boris Chistyakov. He had the opportunity to improve his conducting skills with Yevhen Mravinsky and Stepan Turchak.
Teacher
In 1967 he became a lecturer at the Kyiv State Conservatory.
In the process of educating a new generation of conductors, he formed his own conducting school.
Among his students are Volodymyr Sirenko (People's Artist of Ukraine, Shevchenko Prize winner), Victoria Zhadko, Andriy Ivanysh, Natalia Ponomarchuk, Serhiy Vlasov (Russia), Ihor Andrievsky and others.
Since 1971, he has been working at the Kyiv Opera and Ballet Theatre.
In 1993-1997, while taking care of the Kharkiv Philharmonic Orchestra, he revived the orchestra and encouraged it to perform actively.
