Arkadii Mykhailovych Vinokurov (1 August 1948, Kyiv - 2021) was a Ukrainian and Austrian violinist and conductor. Honoured Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1987).
General information
Vinokurov received his musical education at the Mykola Lysenko Kyiv Secondary Specialised Music Boarding School.
1972 - Graduated from the Petro Tchaikovsky Kyiv Conservatory (class of V. Stetsenko) and completed postgraduate studies at the Conservatory.
1971-1972 - artist of the Kyiv Philharmonic Quartet.
1972 - laureate of the Prague Spring International Festival (3rd prize).
1975 - winner of the Marguerite Long and Jacques Thibaud International Competition (Paris).
1987-1991 - artistic director and conductor of the Kyiv Chamber Orchestra.
Since 1992 he has been working in Vienna (Austria). Professor at the Vienna University of Music (since 1998 - University).
In 2014, 2017 he performed in Kyiv.

Works by J. Bach, L. Beethoven, W. Mozart, D. Paganini, A. Vivaldi, G. Handel, M. de Falla, S. Franck, S. Prokofiev, as well as Ukrainian composers (D. Bortnyansky, V. Hubarenko, M. Skoryk, I. Karabyts, Y. Stankovych).
