She was born in the Ternopil region. She graduated from the Ternopil National Pedagogical University, Institute of Arts (bandura teacher - Honoured Artist of Ukraine Dmytro Hubiak, vocal teacher - People's Artist of Ukraine Bohdan Ivanonkiv). During her studies, she took part in the All-Ukrainian festivals of bandura art named after Z. Shtokalok and kobza art "Silver Strings", had a solo concert of vocal music and author's poetry "Two Wings" In 2016, she received a master's degree from the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy (class of solo singing teacher - Honoured Artist of Ukraine Natalia Romaniuk, class of chamber singing - Honoured Artist of Ukraine Liliia Kostruba).
Lilya Vikaruk is the author of a collection of fairy tale scripts for school theatre, a children's musical performance called "Rukavychka", and a song collection for voice and bandura called "A Window Has Opened". Her poems and poetry have been repeatedly published in the newspapers "Gomin Voli" and "Vilne Zhyttia", and she has published in the scientific journal "Naukovi Zapisky" (Ternopil).
