Vereta Hryhorii Stepanovych

1951

Hryhorii Stepanovych Vereta (born May 4, 1951, Luchytsi) is a Ukrainian choral conductor and composer. In 1972 he graduated from the Institute of Culture in Kyiv. Since 1983, he has worked as a conductor of the G. Maiboroda Kyiv Bandura Choir of Ukraine. People's Artist of Ukraine (1998[1]), Associate Professor (1991), winner of the All-Ukrainian Composer Competition (1997), member of the NSCU. He is the director of the Bandura Ensemble "Barvy Ukrayiny"[2] of the Strytiv Higher Pedagogical School of Kobza Art.
