Vazin Heorhii Andriiovych (* 21 February 1940, Dolynska, Kirovohrad region - † 4 January 2002, Kherson) was a Ukrainian conductor, People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1990).
In 1966, he graduated from the Faculty of Military Conductors of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
In 1966-1972, he served as a conductor of military bands in military units of the former USSR and abroad - Germany, Czechoslovakia.
In 1972-1982, he was the conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Kherson Music School and the artistic director of the Gilea Chamber Orchestra of the Kherson Philharmonic. He has been working at the Kherson Philharmonic since 1976, and thanks to his efforts, the Gilea Chamber Orchestra was created.
The creative team, led by Vazin for 25 years, was one of the best chamber orchestras in Ukraine, winner of the first republican chamber orchestra competition in 1978. The orchestra performed works by Ukrainian composers such as A. Dychko, S. Stankovych, I. Shamo, and V. Bibik, among others.
He was a professor at Kherson State University, and brought up a galaxy of followers. In 1991, materials about Vazin for the popularisation of national musical art were included in the expositions of the London International Museum of Music among the best musicians of the world, in 2000 - in the "Golden Book of Ukraine - 2000".
In 1998, he ran for election to the Verkhovna Rada on the NRU list.
He was the head of the Kherson branch of the Leontovych Music Union of Ukraine.
