Semen Petrovych Tyshkevych-Azvazhynskyi (1894, Borysiv - 14 October 1938, Bykivnia) was a composer and musician. He was a student of composition of H. Liubomyrskyi. Rector of the Mykola Lysenko Kyiv Music and Drama Institute in 1932-1934.
1932-1934 - Rector of the Mykola Lysenko State Music and Drama Institute in Kyiv. Later, he was the director of the Central Station of Amateur Art (until 16 July 1938).
Despite following the party line, he was repressed.
He was convicted by the Kyiv Regional Troika on 7 October 1938.
He was shot on 14 October 1938.
On 18 March 1958, he was posthumously rehabilitated.
