Tymozhynskyi Viktor Anatoliyovych

Viktor Anatoliyovych Tymozhynskyi (born 23 September 1957) is a Ukrainian composer, Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2005).
He was born in Lutsk. Graduated from Lutsk School No. 1 in 1974. Graduated from the theoretical and piano departments of the Lutsk Music College (1978), the composition faculty of the Lviv Conservatory (1983, class of V. Flys). Since 1983 he has been a lecturer at the Lutsk Music College, since 1989 - the head of the subject-cycle commission of music theory. Member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine (1991), head of the Volyn branch of the NUCU (since 1995), member of the NUCU Board (since 1999). Laureate of the Regional Art Prize named after I. Stravinsky (1996).

Biography
The composer's oeuvre includes more than a hundred works of various genres and forms. Musicologists consider Tymozhynskyi's work to be the result of "a thoughtful, primarily moral and ethical analysis of reality", as well as its experience. In the opinion of his colleagues from the NSCU, the artist's credit is "the expression of pervasive melodism" and "intellectual lyricism".
