Yevhen Oleksiyovych Tsysyk (b. 9 September 1897, Strusiv - d. 24 September 1956, Kolomyia) was a Ukrainian conductor and teacher.
Biography.
Yevhen Tsysyk was born on 9 September 1897 in the village of Strusiv (now Ternopil district, Ternopil region, Ukraine). In 1924, he took an external exam at the Prague Conservatory and worked as a musical director of Lytkevychova's travelling theatre. From 1930 he worked at the Y. Stadnyk Theatre, from 1935 - at the I. Tobilevych Theatre (both in Lviv), from 1940 - at the Kolomyia Theatre. Since 1949, he was the director of the local choir.
He died in Kolomyia on 24 September 1956.
