Tolmachev Ruben Vladislavovich

Ruben Tolmachov (*16 July 1973) is a Ukrainian musician, singer and composer, Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2009).
Biography.
Ruben Tolmachov was born on 16 July 1973 in a family of musicians. In 1992, he graduated from the R. M. Glière Kyiv Music College (class of Honoured Artist of Ukraine Gorbatenko), and in 1997 from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy (class of People's Artist of Ukraine Dzhenkov). After graduating from postgraduate studies in 2000, he taught (since 2010 he has been acting as an associate professor) conducting and special disciplines at the Department of Choral Conducting of the NMU.

Since 1993, he has been working (since 2001 he has been directing) the Dzvinochok Choir for Boys and Young Men, with which he has won numerous international competitions and festivals. Since 1993, he has also been the soloist and arranger of the vocal group ManSound, the most famous a cappella group in Ukraine.

In 2009, he was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Ukraine.

Winner of the All-Ukrainian Competition of Choral Conductors (Kyiv, 2001), member of the jury of international competitions ("Slavic Bazaar" 2005-2009, "Singing World" St. Petersburg 2007-2010).

Creativity.
Author of numerous arrangements and compositions for choir and vocal ensemble.
