Ivan Tkalenko (1 March 1977, Kremenchuk, Poltava region) is a Ukrainian musician, composer, bandura player, multi-instrumentalist, inventor, and teacher.
He was born on 1 March 1977 in Kremenchuk to a family of engineers. In 1980, the family moved to the city of Khorol, Poltava region. He started studying music at the Khorol Music School, majoring in violin in 1984. After 4 years, he left his studies because he was playing bass guitar in the VIA of the Khorol House of Pioneers.
In 1990, he entered the Strytiv School of Kobzar Art, from where he was expelled two years later for violating academic discipline.
From 1993 to 1995, he studied at the Studio at the State Honoured Chapel of Bandura Players of Ukraine.
From 1995 to 1996, he worked as a bandura teacher at the art school in the village of Hermanivka (Obukhiv district).
From 1996 to 1997, he served in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine, playing in the ensemble/orchestra of the military unit 2262. Military rank - Senior Sergeant of the Guard.
From 1997 to 2018, he was an artist of the National Honoured Bandura Choir of Ukraine named after H. I. Maiboroda. Mayboroda. Since 2000 - musician of the band Grono, Taras Petrynenko. From 2007 to 2009, he was a musician of the band Haidamaky. From 2011 to 2018, he taught bandura at the Studio of the H. Maiboroda National Honoured Bandura Choir of Ukraine. Since 2018, he has been an independent concert/session musician.

Inventor: bandura stands; bandura sound systems (electric bandura), first to use parallel processing of the bandura signal, uses computer processing during playing.
In 2012, he founded the League of Skilful Bandura Adjusters (now the Workshop of Skilful Bandura Adjusters), an organisation that repairs and maintains banduras, makes bandura stands, and installs bandura sound systems (electrobandura)[9].
Educator: a teacher at the Studio at the H. Maiboroda National Honoured Bandura Choir of Ukraine, teaches bandura privately, gives lectures and masterclasses online and offline.
