Teteruk Arsenii

1941

Arseniy Teteruk (2 January 1941, Povit village, Kobryn district, Brest region) - public figure, composer, Ukrainian activist in Brest, member of the Ukrainian social and cultural association of the Brest region.

He was born in the village of Povit (Travy), Kobryn district, Brest region.

He is the author of the book Songs of My Village, which collects Ukrainian folk songs sung in the Brest region. In addition, it contains several works by local poets and composers (D. Falkivskyi, V. Horos, I. Chernyk, S. Liubchuk, and Arseniy Teteruk himself).

Member of the folk ensemble "Voices of Polissia". On the pages of the newspaper "Holos Beresteyshchyny" he promotes Ukrainian folk songs. He is the author of photographs on the activities of the Ukrainian Social and Cultural Association of the Brest Region.

He was awarded a written letter of gratitude from the Consulate General of Ukraine in Brest "for his active participation in promoting the Ukrainian language and culture in the Brest region and strengthening good neighbourly relations between the fraternal peoples of Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus".
