Family.
His father was a village musician, he played at weddings, was the founder of the village choir and drama clubs, and later worked as a club manager. Her mother knew many folk songs, legends, and stories. The family had great authority among the villagers.

According to Vasyl Storonskyi's recollections, his family has ancient Polish roots. Vasyl's great-grandfather was called Stronski. Having fallen in love with a Ukrainian woman, he changed his surname from Stronski to Storonski, thus "Ukrainising" himself and his descendants, including me, and bringing me closer to Ukrainianness.
