Biography
He spent his childhood in the village of Neterebka, Korsun-Shevchenkivsky district, Cherkasy region, and the city of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi. Studied at the Neterebsk comprehensive school of grades I-III, Korsun-Shevchenko Lyceum. He received his higher education at Belotserkiv National Agrarian University (agronomy) and Cherkasy State Technological University (finance). Now lives in the city of Kyiv.

The works promote a positive worldview, faith in the best and true, faith in love, the importance of family and friendship in the life of every person, love for the native land and love for life in general.
Yurii Starchevod first turned to civic issues back in 2008, writing the poem "Unnecessary War" about Russia's attack on Georgia.
The Karas project was created in the summer of 2011. As part of the project, the album "People's Friend" was published, which included 12 rap tracks, and several songs outside the albums were also recorded. The most popular songs among the supporters of the project were the songs "You're the Best", "Ne Dlya Tebe Kvitochka Rosla", "New Life" and a joint work with bandurist Yaroslav Jus "My Language", which was recorded in support of the Ukrainian language after the adoption of the so-called "language law". in the summer of 2012.
The project "Yuriy Starchevod" was created in the summer of 2013, the style is close to reproach, however, elements of other musical directions are also used. At the end of 2013, he released the music album "Feelings".
In November 2014, he edited the music collection, the sound disc "Light of my soul", released by the art portal "Woman-UKRAINKA". Yuriy Starchevod is also the author of the design of this disc.
With the beginning of the dramatic events in the Crimea and the east of Ukraine, the song in support of Ukrainian soldiers "Ukraine is one", recorded in cooperation with Artur Piskovsky, leader of the band "Territory of Light", participant of the "X-factor" program, was presented on radio stations and on the Internet. and "You are the best", recorded together with Daryna Stepaniuk, a participant of the "Voice of the Country" project, who impressed the judges and the audience with a sensual performance of the song "Plyve kacha".
The military theme is revealed most insightfully in Yuri Starchevod's song of hope "The Road Home", the key words of which are "Let my Ukraine not know war!".
In October 2020, the author and performer's YouTube channel released a video for the song "Keep Ukraine", written as a result of trips to the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone as part of the "Movement to Victory" Creative Hundred. To create the video, the photos of the photographer Petr Radushynsky, taken during these trips, were used.
Songs devoted to the importance of the family in the life of every person occupy a special place in his work. Thus, in 2014, the song "Little Miracle" was presented on the air of radio stations and on the Internet, and in the summer of 2015, the song "My Sunshine" with lyrics by Vitaly Mikhalevsky was presented.
The song "Flowing Water" was created in the summer of 2015 based on Taras Shevchenko's works "Flowing Water from Under the Sycamore Tree" and "Dream".
In January 2016, the premiere of the video for the song "Wonderful Wonderful Garden" was presented, directed by Andriy Mukhin, solo guitar by Dima Goncharenko.
In October 2018, they recorded the song "Breath of Autumn" in a duet with the singer IWANNA (Ivanna Popovych).
In December 2020, he received a special award of the International Literary Competition of novels, plays, film scripts, song lyrics and works for children "Coronation of the Word" in the nomination "Lyrics" for the song "Beautiful people in embroidery". The studio version of the song was recorded with the participation students of the Model Vocal Studio "Vizerunok" of the Center for Creativity "Divosvit" (Vyshhorod). The song on digital music platforms and a lyric video for it were released in November 2021.
Yuriy's songs are in the repertoire of other artists. So, for example, the song "I am a woman", created to the words of Tetyana Cherep-Peroganych, is performed by People's Artist of Ukraine Svitlana Myrvoda.

Music album "Feelingtya" was released at the end of 2013 as part of the "Yuriy Starchevod" project. The album includes 10 compositions, in which the author of the words, music and performer is Yurii Starchevod. One of the songs on the album is based on the poem "Rivals" by the Ukrainian sixties poet Vasyl Symonenko.
In 2015, the album was reissued. The first release of the reissue included ten songs from the album and four bonus tracks, and later the second release of the reissue with six bonus tracks was released, which was presented on the Internet and on the airwaves of radio stations during 2014-2015. Volunteer activity
The first performances in front of the military took place at patriotic events, in hospitals, during presentations of the book "To the Soldiers of Light", which took place in various cities of Ukraine and during trips to the soldiers.
In 2015, in order to support the soldiers in the ATO zone (OOS), he joined the Artistic Podilsk Hundred, and later the NGO "Creative Hundred "Movement to Victory". In addition to everything that volunteers usually take to the front lines, an important component of the Hundred's activity is moral - psychological support of military units, which is achieved thanks to their creative support - songs, poetry, dances, humor, etc. As part of a hundred, Yuriy took part in several dozen concerts in front of soldiers and civilians in the ATO zone (OOS), on military training grounds , in military hospitals.
In 2017, he received the award of the SOS Euromaidan Volunteer Award, in 2016 and 2017 - the awards of the "Red Route of Dignity - Will of the Community" festival.
