Olena Volodymyrivna Stakhovska (21 March 1954, Odesa) is a Ukrainian singer (lyrical and colouratura soprano) and teacher, professor, People's Artist of Ukraine (2013).
Biography.
Born in Odesa in a family of musicians. Graduated from the Odesa Music College with a degree in piano, after which she entered the Odesa Conservatory, piano faculty (class of L. N. Ginzburg).
1980 - graduated from the vocal faculty of the Odesa Conservatory (class of O. Fomenko).
1997 - completed postgraduate studies at the Conservatoire (class of G. A. Polyvanova).
Since 1979, she has been working as a concertmaster at the A. Nezhdanova Odesa Music Academy.
Since 1980, she has been a soloist-vocalist at the Odesa Philharmonic.
Since 1984, she has been teaching at the Odesa Music Academy (Department of Solo Singing), since 2002 - Associate Professor, 2003-2017 - Dean of the Vocal and Choral Faculty.
She has worked as a solo vocalist in various opera houses around the world (Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Austria, Italy).
Her soprano roles in Mozart's Requiem and Rossini's Petite messe solennelle have been performed on many stages around the world.
