Ukrainian conductor, artistic director of the variety brass band of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic, People's Artist of Ukraine (2019).
Biography
1977-1982 - studying at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (military conducting faculty).
1982-2005 - Chief of the Orchestra, military conductor in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In 2005, he initiated the creation of a brass band at the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic. Since November 2005, he has been the artistic director and conductor of this orchestra. A large part of the works performed by the orchestra are author's arrangements by Volodymyr Hryhorovych. In 2016, the orchestra won the International Festival of Brass Bands and Wind Ensembles in the Hungarian city of Kisvárda.
Volodymyr Spivak is also engaged in pedagogical activities, teaching at the Uzhhorod Institute of Culture and Arts.
