Sparynskyi Oleksandr Yosypovych

1954

Ukrainian composer-arranger, musicologist, producer. Member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine.

Biography.

Studied at the Music School #2 in Kyiv, then at the K. Stetsenko Music School for Adults. Graduated from the Kyiv Pedagogical Institute named after M. Gorky (Faculty of Music and Pedagogy).

Author of music for 35 films, including animated films, 52 theatrical performances and musicals, operetta, folk opera, choral, electronic, characteristic instrumental music, oratorios, author's transcriptions of Ukrainian authenticity in the genre of World music.

He is the author of almost two hundred songs: children's, ensemble, pop, rock and chamber ballads, folklore stylizations.

Producer of a number of Ukrainian bands, organizer of concerts, art lectures, creative reports around the world to popularize Ukrainian art abroad in the UK, France, Belgium, Australia, Holland, Ireland, Germany, Hong Kong, and China.

Music producer of the Kobzar Center for Festivals, Mass Events and Concert Programs, a structure that organizes and stages city and national mass entertainment events: Ukraine's Independence Day, Victory Day, Kyiv Days, New Year and Christmas performances, festivals and ceremonial events, folklore festivals, government concerts, etc.

Mr. Sparynsky's author's discography includes 13 CDs, one DVD and 7 MCs; including multimedia discs:

"Christmas 2000" - the world's first multimedia encyclopedia of Ukrainian New Year and Christmas holidays.
"Come Out, Freckles!" - the world's first multimedia disk about the Spring cycle of celebrations in Ukraine; at the same time, it is the first example of a reading of Ukrainian folklore in the genre of World music with the involvement of leading Ukrainian performers.
"The Magic of Kupala Night" is an author's interpretation of traditional musical and ethnographic heritage on the border of folklore, avant-garde, jazz, electronic and contemporary music.

She lives and works in Kyiv. She has two daughters.

Her hobbies include information technology, literature, cinema, and sports (cycling, swimming).
