Vasyl Hryhorovych Smekalin (* 21 February 1901, Voznesensk, now Mykolaiv region - † 1940, Lviv) was a Ukrainian composer, conductor and teacher.
He graduated from the Mykola Lysenko State Music and Drama Institute in Kyiv, where he was a teacher in 1930-1936. In 1927-1937 he was a conductor of the Kyiv Opera.
Works: "Solemn March" for brass band, Rondo for two pianos, arrangements of Ukrainian folk songs, songs "All - to the breakthrough!", "To the barricades" (both 1930).
