Biography.
Mykhailo Slywotzky was born on October 1, 1944 in the city of Kalush. He graduated from the Kolomyia Pedagogical College and the Faculty of Music and Pedagogy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute named after V. Stefanyk. He is married, has a wife Tamara and a son Yurii.
He performed with the instrumental quartet "Smile" (Yurii Feyda (accordion), Mykhailo Pavliuk (violin), Yurii Kurylo (double bass), Hryhorii Kotyk (guitar); vocal quartet "Lehyn" (Mykhailo Slywotzkyi, Petro Cholovskyi, Yurii Serhaniuk, Orest Shulyar), women's vocal ensemble "Rosynka", and ensemble "Kolo". He gave concerts in Germany, France, Japan, Finland, the USA, Australia, Canada and other countries.
In 1987, the All-Union Recording Studio "Melodiya" released the giant disc "Singing Mountains" (a year before, a musical film of the same name was filmed) and in 1991 - the audio album "Mykhailo Slywotzky Sings" (songs and instrumental pieces arranged by P. In 1994, the book Mykhailo Slywotzky Sings was published. Mykhailo Slywotzky is the author of about 20 scientific and pedagogical works, including "A Textbook of School Repertoire (Grades I-X)" and "Methods of Teaching Music in Grades 1-2".
