Skrypnyk Oleksii Viktorovych

1955

Oleksiy Skrypnyk (born 14 August 1955, Zarichne) is a Ukrainian composer, teacher, professor, Honoured Artist of Ukraine (1999), member of the NSCU. From 2009 to 2014, he headed the Prokofiev Donetsk State Music Academy. Since 2014, he has worked in Kyiv at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. Currently, he is the Chief Academic Secretary of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine [Archived 9 July 2019 at the Wayback Machine].

Biography
Graduated from the Donetsk Music and Pedagogical Institute, composition class of O. Nekrasov. 1984-1986 - director of the children's choir, since 1986 - lecturer at the Department of Composition of the Donetsk Music and Pedagogical Institute (now the Conservatory), associate professor (1994), since 2009 - rector. Laureate of the Republican Komsomol Prize named after M. Ostrovsky (1990), the First M. and I. Kots Competition for Composers (1991, III prize), and the L. Revutsky Prize (1991).
