Biography.
Yarema Skybynskyi was born on August 25, 1949 in the city of Stryi, Lviv region.
In 1974, he graduated from the Lviv Conservatory (under M. Kolessa). In 1976-78 he trained with Yuri Simonov at the Bolshoi Theater (Moscow).
In 1978-79 he was the chief conductor, since 1989 - conductor of the Kharkiv Opera and Ballet Theater, from 1991 to 2009 - Odesa National Opera and Ballet Theater.
In 1984, with the Symphony Orchestra of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting of the Ukrainian SSR, Y. Skybyinsky made a stock recording of the opera Zaporozhets Beyond the Danube by S. Hulak-Artemovsky.
