Ukrainian Soviet singer (bass), Honored Artist of the RSFSR since 1967, People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR since 1976.
Biography.
He was born on March 5, 1931 in Druzhkivka (now Donetsk region). Member of the CPSU since 1965.
In 1953-1958 and 1975-1981, he was a soloist of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Kyiv Military District, in 1958-1975 - of the Bandura Choir of the Ukrainian SSR, in 1987-1991 - of the Central Song and Dance Ensemble of the Western Military Group.
The repertoire included arias from operas and romances by Ukrainian, Russian, and Western European composers, folk songs, and works by Soviet authors.

Konstantin Silantyev lived in Kyiv. He died on March 13, 2005. He was buried at the Baikove Cemetery (plot No. 49b).
