Shott Sergey Lvovich

Serhii Levovych Shott (born 2 July 1954, Sukhumi) is a Ukrainian musician (violinist), concertmaster of the National Opera Orchestra of Ukraine, People's Artist of Ukraine.
Biography.
Since the age of 5, he has been studying music with his teacher Hanna Bubnova.

1969-1973 - studying at the Kyiv Special Music School at the Conservatory (class of P. Makarenko).

1973-1979 - studies at the Tchaikovsky Kyiv Conservatory (class of Olha Parkhomenko).

1979-1980 - conscript service in the Soviet Army.

1980-1988 - concertmaster of the State Variety and Symphony Orchestra.

Since 1988, he has been the concertmaster of the orchestra of the Taras Shevchenko National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine.

Serhiy Shott is also an experienced teacher (Associate Professor of the Violin Department of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine).

In 2017, Serhiy Shott was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine.

Family.
His father, Lev Ippolitovych Shott (1913, Sukhumi - 1996, Kyiv), was an artist-architect.

His mother, Isabella Shott, is a cellist.

He has a son, Daniel, and a daughter, Kateryna. Kateryna Shott is a famous violinist, winner of the international competitions Kloster-Chantal (Germany), Chamber Ensemble Competition (New York, USA)
