Sergey Shishkin is a Ukrainian jazz bard and pianist.
Biographical information
Born on 26 June 1958 in the city of Volodymyr-Volynskyi. Graduated from Volodymyr-Volyn secondary school No. 3 (class of 1975).
Music education - Lutsk Music College (graduated in 1977) and Rivne Pedagogical Institute (graduated in 1985).
Competitions.
The first competition in which Serhiy Shyshkin won a prize was the Oberig Competition in 1989. This competition actually gave him a start.
He has won several festivals, including:
"Oberig" (1989),
"Chervona Ruta (1993),
"White Sails".
Work at festivals and competitions
Organiser of the Volodymyr Youth Music Festival in his native Volodymyr-Volynskyi in 1994.
He has repeatedly been a member of the jury of the All-Ukrainian music festivals, including Oberig and Pearls of the Season. He is a permanent member of the jury of the oldest Ukrainian rock festival Taras Bulba.
Creative work.
His musical instrument is the piano.
Sergei Shishkin is a performer of the genre of sung poetry, the only known bard-pianist in Ukraine.

"Serhiy Shyshkin is the only known bard-pianist in Ukraine, he has a bright charisma, distinguished by his original existential and philosophical views on reality, and has long founded and hosted the Volodymyr festival in his town. He was assisted in the creation of the album by the guitarist and arranger of the Ruthenia band Hryhoriy Lukyanenko, trumpeter Oleh Bakovskyi and saxophonist Vasyl Karapulko, and the Shybalukka project itself. "
