Yevhen Myronovych Sherehiy (6 January 1910 - Dusyno village, Bereg County, Transcarpathia, Hungary - 1 October 1985 - Uzhhorod) - actor, composer, conductor
Biography
1925 - artistic director of the drama group at the "Plast".
1929 - graduated from the Uzhhorod Gymnasium.
1929-1932 - studies at the University of Prague, faculty: "Faculty of Law, Prague, Czechoslovakia.
1930-1933 - a teacher in Dovhe village, Irshava district; Nankovo village, and Horinchovo village, Khust district, Subcarpathian Rus, Czechoslovakia.
1933-1939 - musical director of the theatre "Nova Scene", Khust.
1939-1945 - served imprisonment in the concentration camp in Kovnerita Voryuloposh, (Kingdom of Hungary).
1946-1964 - musical director of the Transcarpathian Regional State Music and Drama Theatre, Uzhhorod.
1965-1985 - methodologist of the Regional House of Folk Art, Uzhhorod.
1977 - the work "Folk Musical Instruments of Transcarpathia" was published.
