Born 2010 in Kharkiv. From an early age he became interested in music, from the age of 4 he played the piano, and in 2016 he entered the Kharkiv Specialised Secondary Boarding School of Music, specialising in piano. However, Korniy just adored the violin and dreamed of learning to play it. So in the second grade he changed his instrument and started studying as a violinist in Lyudmila Varenina's class.
The young musician participated in many national and international competitions. The largest of them are: 2017 - Oscar Rieding International Competition for Yoing Violonists, Celje, Slovenija, Gold award; 2018 - All-Ukrainian Leonid Kogan Violin and Cello Competition, Dnepr, 1 prize; 2018 - Vladimir Krainev International Competition for Young Pianists, as a pianist won 3 prizes in the Debut category; May 2019 - 3rd Leonid Kogan International Competition for Young Violonists, Brussels, 1 prize; 2020 - Violinwettbewerb der Internationalen Musikschule Berlin, Germany, 1 prize.
Has taken part in international music festivals. As a soloist he has performed with symphony and chamber orchestras in Kharkiv, Kiev and Zaporozhye. He performed at the inauguration of the Kharkiv Regional Philharmonic with the President of Ukraine in 2019. In 2020 he was invited to Davos, Switzerland, where he participated in a concert at the Ukrainian dinner at the World Economic Forum.
In addition to the violin, Kornei continues to play the piano and study composition.
