Violin virtuoso and composer born in Oleksandrivsk, Katerynoslav region.
Biography.
She received her musical education at the St. Petersburg (Leopold Auer) and Prague (Otakar Shevchyk) Conservatories.
Between 1903 and 1908, she actively performed in St. Petersburg, Naddniprianshchyna, Prague, Pilsen, Vienna, Chernivtsi, and Lviv. Her talent as a violinist was highly appreciated by music critics.
In 1906, she married a lawyer Lev Hankevych, and they moved to Lviv. In 1907, the couple had a daughter, Nina.
In 1908, she began teaching at the Mykola Lysenko Music Institute in Lviv. She also taught privately and wrote several plays on Hutsul themes.
