Serdyuk Andriy Saveliyovych

1923-2000

Ukrainian singer (tenor).

Biography.

He was born on August 24, 1923 in Brovary (now Kyiv region, Ukraine). He took part in the German-Soviet war. In 1954, he graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory (class of Mykysha), and since 1957 he has been a soloist of the Kyiv Philharmonic.
Biography.

His repertoire includes works of world and Ukrainian classics, Soviet composers such as P. Maiboroda, A. Kos-Anatolsky, V. Solovyov-Sedyi, and Ukrainian folk songs.
Honors and awards

awarded the Order of the Red Star (August 1, 1979), medals;
People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR since 1982.
