Volodymyr Ivanovych Samartsev (31 August 1942, Kremenchuk village, Tayinshinsky district, North Kazakhstan region, Kazakhstan - 14 September 2014, Luhansk) - Ukrainian singer, People's Artist of Ukraine (1996).
Biography
1974 - graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Arts (teacher Yevhen Chervoniuk).
1972-1975 - works at the Kharkiv Philharmonic.
1975-1979 - in the ensemble of the Central Group of Troops in Czechoslovakia, was a soloist of the Kyiv Philharmonic, gave concerts in the Chernobyl zone.
1979-1997 - worked at the Luhansk Philharmonic.
His repertoire includes more than 600 pieces of classical opera music and romances, more than 20 solo programmes (from Ukrainian and world classics), as well as folk songs.
He was a professor at the Institute of Culture and Arts of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
